Bio

Mimmi Koponen (b. 1992) is an artist and architect. Her artworks are often conceptual and site-specific, focusing on themes of circulation of materials in nature and reuse of buildings. She is inspired by encounters of nature and built environment, such as the Akerselva flowing through Oslo, and simple lifestyles based around sharing and frugality. She works with several mediums such as installation, sculpture, photography, video, sound installation, text, performance and organising workshops and plays. Currently she is studying her second year of master program Art and Public Space at Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo.
