Økern project
I recorded some sounds of Hovinbekken and Teglverksdammen, a newly opened creek and pond in Økern. I will use Echoes mobile app to make a sound walk using these sounds. The walk will follow a part of a creek still in a pipe that is going to be reopened in Økern.

In addition to the sound walk I have planned a fishing performance that is related to it. The performance can be performed in the final exhibition of the course. The performance is about imagining the creek already opened. In the performance I will make a toy fishing rod using a stick, a string and a little stone and start “fishing”. I will invite anyone who wants to participate to join the performance the way they want.
Questions I’m thinking about now:
How to advertise the sound walk and the performance?
How to invite people to join the performance?
How to organize the performance?
Should the performance be a curated walk and actions on the way?
Should there be something else / in addition to “fishing”?
What tools and materials to prepare for participants?
Testing the app
Where are the creek openings going to be?
Should I change the site?
Should I make the sound walk to cover all the openings in Økern?
Are there too many / too similar river related artworks in Oslo already?
