Clay building workshop
I tried to call to the owner of the building, HAS investment AS, but I couldn’t find their correct phone number. So, on the 21st of March I visited a car mechanic, Auto-Pluggen, that is renting the side building and yard to ask for the number. They didn’t give me the number and said that I couldn’t use the yard for the workshop, while showing me out of their office. But they said that I could go in the building to look around. The door was open because some maintenance works were being done. I was very happy to see where the bricks had been fired. I was very discouraged to continue with the site and decided to give up the idea, at least for now.
Later in the same day I went to visit with Liz her ceramicist friend to ask about digging my own clay in Oslo. I learned that there is a lot of clay in the rivers, but it is probably contaminated, it can be complicated to get a permission to take clay out of construction sites and that one option is, if I see someone working on excavator, to ask for advice.
